What is EFT or Tapping?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique (sometimes called Tapping) and in essence is an emotional version of acupuncture, except we don't use needles. Instead, we stimulate certain meridian points on the body by tapping on them with our fingertips.

EFT is a powerful self-help method based on research showing that emotional trauma contributes greatly to disease. Stanford Engineer Gary Craig developed EFT as a self-help tool for people struggling with painful emotions that traditional medical and psychological treatments had been unable to help.

It is said that intense negative emotions, if not processed and dealt with, can get stuck in our energy body. Long term stress and bottled up emotions can lead to disease. We need to find a healthy way to recognise and get rid of our negative emotions so they don't get stored in our mind-body system and affect our health.

This method can be used on or taught to any age, It can control emotions or temper and relieve pain. It has almost instant results and has been shown repeatedly to reduce the conventional therapy process from months or years down to minutes, hours or a few sessions.

What can I use EFT for?
This innovative Tapping tool has proven useful in clinical settings for just about any emotional, physical or performance issues and there have been thousands of articles written by therapists, physicians and clients to support this. There are EFT and Tapping success stories on everything from fears to trauma ... anger to depression .... back pain to vision issues ... It can be used for everyday issues such as exam nerves, job interviews, stopping smoking, weight loss or fear of driving on the motorway to emotional trauma issues such as abuse, anxiety and panic attacks.

Why choose this form of therapy?
Firstly there are no drugs or surgical procedures. There is usually rapid, long lasting relief from symptoms and it often works where nothing else seems to. It is a positive, proactive experience where you are involved in the treatment using affirmations and it can usually be self applied, although in complex cases more detailed attention from an experienced EFT Practitioner may be needed.
