Nadine's Blog

Social Media

I have been thinking about writing a blog for a long time, but keep talking myself out of it as I tell myself I have nothing to write about and I am no good at writing. It seems silly how we self sabotage ourselves on a regular basis.

I never knew how to start until fate had a hand in it.

A year ago I was working as a weight loss counsellor in LighterLife. The last session we had before the centre closed down, the ladies wrote down their goals for the year ahead and popped them in an envelope with their address on it.

A year has gone by and I moved to Spain, I was aware I needed to post the envelopes to my ladies which I did last week. To their surprise (they had forgotten all about them) their envelopes arrived. The ladies have messaged me to say some goals they have achieved and some they are still working on. I wish I had written a goal list myself it would focus me on what I still need to achieve.

I recently read a book called How I changed my life in a year by Shelley Wilson. It's a simple read with some good ideas. Shelley breaks the challenges down into 12, one for every month, then breaks them down again into 4 one for every week. Breaking it down doesn't make it so challenging. Research says if you do something for 28 days it becomes a habit ( good or bad) So no time like the present to make some good habits.

We don't need to start in January with New Years resolutions that don't last or we over promise ourselves. Your changes don't need to be hard they can just be loving yourself, having fun and enjoying life.

Are you ready to join in the fun? If so join me on my Moraira Therapy Centre Facebook page or my website Morairatherapycentre.com and let me know what's your September or October change.
